  • recruit for Show Chairs

  • vote on posters

  • set second meeting

  • write press releas

• 3-4 weeks: Mandatory Meeting

  • show rules

  • Plowhaus details

  • drop-off day/time

  • hanging day/time

  • sign-up for gallery/show positions

  • where to send title blocks

  • collect unpaid show fees (or remind to pay by…)

  • give out Artists’ Acknowledgement

  • Print Posters

  • Monday
    

    • send press release to artists, art-talk listserves
      

    • send remnder to media
      

  • Monday Night before Saturday Show Opening:
    

    • drop-off
      

    • collect last payments
      

    • title blocks confirmation/ changes
      

    • sign-up for gallery/show positions
      

    • turn in Artist Acknowledgements
      

    • first Hanging Crew shift paints/patches walls
      

  • Tuesday
    

    • Curation begins (from Monday 7:30pm- Wednesday 5:30pm)
      

  • Wednesday evening
    

    • Hanging begins at 5:30pm
      

    • When Hanging Crew arrives Curator has
      

      • at least 3 walls ready to hang
        

      • determined placement for movable walls/special installations
        

  • Thursday
    

    • Hanging/lighting complete
      

    • Title blocks delivered/hung
      

  • Friday
    

    • Clean-up paint, floors, bathroom, etc…
      

    • send reminder to listserves and artists
      

  • Saturday
    

    • dust/wipe down pieces
      

    • set-up Food& Beverage for Opening
      

    • Reception!
      

  • Sunday
    

    • write and send thank yous to donors and helpers (can send email to helpers)
